With Gulf and Bay beaches only a block away the choice is yours! Left to the Bay or right to the Gulf. And there is a beach cart to help carry those chairs!
A favorite of ours is Bean Point - out of your front door and whether you turn left, or right at the end of the street head north and walk around Bean Point before exiting the beach at the opposite end of the street to return to your holiday home! Oh! Perhaps you will have breakfast at the Rod and Reel or Ginny and Jennys on the way!
Our waterfront home on Anna Maria Island is close to the "historic' City Pier which has recently been fully reconstructed and the Rod and Reel Pier. Pine Avenue Restoration Area is on your doorstep and the Green Village close by. Beaches, restaurants, ice creams, stores, the local museum, art gallery, theatre, and the free Island Trolley stops are equally close to hand, making our home the ideal vacation rental.
Pelicans, Kestrels, American Eagles, Egrets, Herons, Kingfishers.... are just a few of the bird-life which abounds on and around Anna Maria Island. Then there are the Manatees and Dolphins. What will you see from our waterfront home?
Yes, there are tortoises roaming the Island. Watch carefully and you may see one of these timid creatures. Or take a boat trip to nearby Egmont Key for tortoise and birdlife on this protected island.
Will you see a manatee (or two) as they frequent the waters behind the home? Look carefully from our waterfront home and you may be fortunate to see one.
Florida is renowned for the sunsets. Watch your own from one of the decks of our waterfront home or gather on the Gulf Beach for sun-down on Anna Maria Island. The picture above was taken from the beach!
